Editorial Board Membership Policy
The Editorial Board of the academic journal is a standing collegial body responsible for ensuring the strategic development of the journal, adherence to editorial ethics, high academic standards, and the principles of research integrity. In its activities, the Editorial Board is guided by the current legislation of Ukraine, the internal regulations of the journal’s founder, and internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing.
Members of the Editorial Board are elected at collegial meetings for a term of three years. The decision on appointment is made by open or secret ballot in accordance with the established procedure. The Board may include leading scholars holding an academic degree, with a strong record of publications in recognized national and international journals, experience in peer review and editorial work, and a demonstrated commitment to the principles of academic integrity and publication ethics.
The composition of the Editorial Board is formed with due regard to the journal’s academic scope, the need to represent different scholarly schools, institutions, and regions, as well as to ensure international participation. Nominations may be submitted by members of the Editorial Board, the editorial team, or the founder of the journal. Reappointment for an additional term is permitted, subject to evaluation of the member’s performance and active contribution to the journal’s activities.
Members of the Editorial Board participate in shaping editorial policy, defining thematic priorities, overseeing and supporting the peer-review process, and promoting the journal within the academic community. They are required to maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure impartiality in decisions regarding the publication of submitted manuscripts.
The mandate of a member of the Editorial Board may be terminated prematurely in cases of systematic failure to fulfill duties, violation of academic integrity standards, or upon personal request. A decision on early termination is adopted collectively in accordance with the established procedure.
This policy is aimed at ensuring transparency in the formation of the Editorial Board, maintaining the journal’s high scholarly standards, and strengthening its reputation within the national and international academic community.
